1) The KLCI trended higher after the US market recorded
its 4th consecutive winning streak as job data numbers rose indicating that the
labour market is strengthening. In the regional market, bourses were tepid with
NIKKEI +0.6% and SHCOMP -0.05% closing flat as several major indices (ASX,
HSCEI, HSI, SGX) all closed for the long Easter weekend. In the local scene,
penny stocks were actively traded as the trade volume outpaced the value traded
today, with names like ASIABIO -4.76%, UTOPIA +12.5%, TALAMT -5.00%, PDZ +3.33%
topping the list of the most active. Market breadth was positive with gainers
beating losers by 455 : 331. Futures closed at 1852pts (parity).

4) Situational:-
AIRASA RM2.29/ AIRPORT RM8.08 - KLIA2 has been given the
Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) and is deemed fit for operations
on Friday (18/4/2014). The certificate was handed over by the main contractors,
the UEM-Bina Puri consortium to Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd. There are three
parts to the issuance of a CCC; it needs to comply with the Fire and Rescue
Department, Sepang Municipal Council and Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK)
specifications and KLIA2 has complied with all the conditions and is now
certified safe for use.
DSONIC +16.02% RM3.62 - Datasonic Group Bhd has bagged a
RM292.2mil contract from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the supply of MyKad.
The group said it will supply four million new raw MyKad with 100%
polycarbonate material and new security features to the National Registration
Department for six months starting Jan 1, 2014 to June 30, 2014 for RM71mil.
Subsequently, it will provide 10 million MyKad with the same features to the
National Registration Department for two years from July 1, 2014 to June 30,
2016 for RM220.2mil.
5) TADMAX
Company has lodge a notice to hold an EGM on the 15th May
11am for shareholders to vote on the proposed sale of Tadmax Power Sdn Bhd
(TPSB) to Ivory Merge Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of 1MDB for
RM317,334,600 in cash. TPSB owns 310acres of land in Pulau Indah.
Positive, as this will allow Tadmax to unlock gains
estimated at RM136.51mil bumping its NAV to 92sen per share. Upon disposal and
repayment of Debt, company will hold RM30mil net cash with 80,000ha of virgin
land in Indonesia as its timber concession. Trading Buy
