Share price has done well putting up a
whopping 62% gain over the last 10 weeks after the group reportedly returning
into the black (yoy). While the group’s fundamentals continue to improve with
China’s adoption of the 4G technology, there were concerns of the group’s
outlook as its business will be directly affected by the aggressive
consolidation of the Chinese semiconductor companies to ultimately reduce
reliance on imports globally. Currently stock is trading at the top range of
the trading band (RM1.94), RSI currently way overbought at 74% and has recorded
its 5th leg up since the rebound 2 months back. Valuations appears
steep at 16x PE for FY15. Suggest a take profit stance and a buy back option
at RM1.45-1.65.

The group has
turned Shariah Compliant but the price has yet to react amid selling pressure
in the global market. At this price, group currently trades at 11x PE for
FY15 and only 10x for FY16 (vs 7 year avg of 11.3x *before it was shariah)
pegged with an attractive yield of 6.3% and 6.9% respectively, Padini is net
cash of 97mil at the end of the period. Albeit GST is just around the corner,
the group intends to expand another 6 more brands outlet next year. Given the
difficult conditions of the market, we believe that investors will seek a
flight to safety, especially with a decent yield and ample cash. BUY on
weakness.
