Stock has retraced from 2.65 to the low of
around 2.30 before consolidating in a trading band of 2.35 to 2.45, forming
an immediate bottom of higher lows. With the recent outperformance of politically
sensitive stocks like UEMLand, MRCB, Faber, Time Engineering, etc., DRB
should be next to attract trading interest. At current level, it is still
trading at its lower portion of its trading range. The stock could easily
target the 2.60 area if it takes out the 2.45 resistance which should be
quite easy based on the recent break-outs of other politically-linked stocks.
In addition, DRB has positive and exciting news flows such as the potential
tie-up of Proton with VW, award of RM800m MRT track job to its consortium and
M&A plays on Bank Muamalat and UniAsia Insurance to provide the impetus
for a decent rally. Trading buy (PT)

Small cap oil & gas stocks,
especially those that are principally involved in the chartering of vessels,
have seen keen interest lately. In this regard, SilkHld is a major laggard in
this sector. It is still trading close to its post restructuring low of 0.325
after rallying to a high of 0.53 following the injection of the oil & gas
vessels chartering business into the company. Currently 81% of the revenue is
derived from oil & gas marine transportation, with the remaining 19%
coming from its defensive Silk Highway toll collections. Going ahead, the
main growth driver will come from the oil & gas division where the
company has been increasing its vessels fleet size from 12 to 18 this year
and management has good relationship with the major oil players in Malaysia
as seen from their past performance, where even in the lean years, its
vessels are fully chartered out. Trading buy.
