1) The KLCI slipped today inline with the US market which fell for a 2nd day in a row after healthy profit taking began to set in as the index tapered from its record highs. In the regional market, most of the bourses were in the red dragged lower by the HSI -1.65% and NIKKEI-2.59% which fell just ahead of more China Macroeconomic data tomorrow; SHCOMP -0.14% and STI -1.02% were all lower. In the local market, KLCI bluechips were hit down after some basket selling were seen thruout the day with the biggest losers being UMW -2.11%, TM -2.02%, PETGAS -1.78%. Market breadth was negative with losers beating gainers by 438 : 334. Futures closed at 1813.5 points (5 points discount)

3) DBT: GENETEC 15mil @ RM0.05 (4.26% PUC @ 52.4% discount), PWORTH 11.3mil @ RM0.18 (4.291% PUC), RPB 3.316mil @ RM 0.48.
 
4) Situational:-
DELEUM  +6.61% RM5.80 - Deleum Bhd has proposed a one-for three bonus issue and a share split. The corporate exercise would involve a one-for-three bonus issue of 50 million new shares of RM1 each. Deleum also proposed a one-into-two share split into two shares of 50 sen each.
 
5) PTARAS
 
Announce that the Company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Pintaras Geotechnics Sdn. Bhd. has, on 12th March 2014, received a Commencement Date Notice dated 12th March 2014 from PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn. Berhad to undertake foundation works for a proposed building at Warisan Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur. The said works are to commence on 17th March 2014 with a completion period of about a year. The contract is valued at RM74 million.
 
Positive for the construction industry. As this 118storey tower is expected to be completed in 2018 with a budget estimated at RM5bn. Some potential winners include Sendai, AZRB, BPURI.
 
6) Market: External weakness is expected to impinge on local sentiments with trading continuing to be cautious.
