Maybank – We are recommending a switch out of
Maybank after the price rallied from around the RM9.50 levels to RM10.00.
Latest quarterly numbers are already showing further signs of slowing loan
demand and NIM compression from rising cost of funds. They also continue to
face challenging market conditions in Indonesia. As the second most held core
blue by foreigners after PBB, the shares are susceptible heavy selling on
regional redemptions. With current year valuations of 13x PE and P/bk of 1.8x
we prefer a switch to RHB Cap at 10.6x Pe and P/bk of 1.2x.

The stock has gained 7.2% since we last
highlighted in March. We continue to favor this name especially with the
strong contract win news flow for market leader UMW-OG and the improved
footing of the company’s balance sheet after the recent private placement.
Although their major assets E3 and MOPU remain idle, we believe the delivery
of its first Jack Up rig in May 2014 and contract win for this asset will
catalyse the price higher to a new target of RM1.88. BUY
