1) The KLCI erased yesterday's gain shrugging off the stronger US market overnight as stronger oil prices lifted the US stocks ahead of the anticipated Fed's meeting next week. Region bourses were mixed as the SHCOMP +0.07%, SZCOMP +0.62% rose while the NIKKEI-0.19%, HSI -0.27%, STI-1.37%, ASX -0.47% slipped into the red. FINANCE -1.41% index lost the most grounds today dragged by MAYBANK -1.63%, CIMB -2.44%, PBBANK -1.44% while the PROPERTY +1.14% names outperformed led by UEMS +15.21% amid talks of M&A as SUNWAY +1.76%, IGB +1.50% also gained. Market breadth was positive as gainers beat losers by 462 : 352. Futures closed at 1581pts (22pts discount).

4) Situational:-
KNM +5.20% RM0.505 - KNM Group Bhd's indirect 70%-owned joint venture company CNI Engineering & Construction Malaysia Sdn Bhd has been awarded a US$42 million (RM183 million) erection work contract by Toyo Thai Malaysia Sdn Bhd. The group said the 25-month contract is to undertake erection work in relation to Petronas' Pengerang Integrated Complex Project. The scope of supply and work of CNI includes the procurement of consumable materials and parts, construction works, inspection and test, and documentation as stated in the contract, which is scheduled to begin this month. KNM expects the contract to contribute positively to its earnings for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
 
5) KKB
Announced that its associate company, OceanMight Sdn. Bhd has received a Letter of Award from TALISMAN MALAYSIA LIMITED for the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Wellhead Platform for Kinabalu Redevelopment Project.  KKB has additionally received a Notification of Tender Award from Syarikat SESCO Berhad for the Annual Supply & Delivery of Steel Products and a Letter of Award from Sarawak Energy Berhad for the Supply, Delivery, Erection, Commissioning of one (1) unit of 1000 Tonne Fuel Storage tank inclusive of Pipings & Fittings respectively.
 
The total estimated amount for the combined TALISMAN, SESCO & SARAWAK ENERGY projects is approximately worth RM171.1 million 
 
The completion date for TALISMAN is scheduled within the second quarter of 2017 and for SESCO is scheduled within the third quarter of 2016 and SARAWAK ENERGY is scheduled within the first quarter of 2016.
 
 
6) Market - maintain current range hinging on Fed decision next week as today monetary meeting domestically is expected to be a non event.
