Since our trim call (29th May) share price has
fallen 23% and appears to have set a strong base at RM3.40 level. AFG is
playing laggard to Banking sector rebounding only 4% from its recent low of
RM3.34. Although earning was weaker due to lower non interest income, 1Q16
loan growth was commendable at 12.5% yoy driven by SME segment. LDR at 85%
also supports its capacity to lend when economy strengthens. Valuation is
reasonable at 9.5xCY16 PER w div yield of 4.8%. Accumulate w TP: RM3.90.

the recovery in the overall market. However share price is approaching its
strong resistance level of RM6.90-7.00. Market competition has also been
stiff w price wars among telcos. We advocate a sell into strength given the
unattractive dividend yield of 3.8% for FY15.
