Stk peaked at RM6.80 in Dec ’12 and has since retraced to its 200D SMA support level of RM6.28, backed by RSI at attractive 31 and oversold MACD just starting to nip upwards. Recently released its 9mth12/12 rslts which were slightly above expectations as incorporated recently acquired MBf Cards which assisted to counter compressed NIMs. Expect its non-interest income to further ease margin compression pressure going forward with its acqn of Kurnia Ins now completed. Trades at compelling P:B 1.6x, ROE target 14.5%, improving B/S –accumulate as laggard to yesterday’s strong buying momentum in banking stks.

TM (RM5.32) – recent selldown in telcos saw this stk correct from a high of RM6.40 to touch a low of RM5.20 exacerbated by its slower Unifi subscriber growth. However, imminent +ves include the proposed access pricing review by MCMC as well as another capital management plan. Given TM’s declining capex trend and cashpile of RM2.7bn, expectations for a special div will provide support for this stk.  Technically attractive as MACD severely oversold and just cutting up, RSI 38. Trades at PER 12.7x, yields decent 3.6-4%. Selldown opportunity to accumulate.
