1)The FBMKLCI saw choppy trade today paring from its low of 1765.38 (-6.79pts) to close marginally higher as investors sentiment is positive expecting no major changes from tonight’s FOMC. Regionals saw similar trading as HSI and SHCOMP recovered from earlier weakness on concern gains in Chinese home prices could discourage monetary easing. Glovemakers KOSSAN+6.2%, SUPERMX+3.7%, HARTA+3.7% rose after reports deemed the sector as overweight with demand for gloves  remaining robust. Market breadth was slightly positive with gainers leading losers marginally, 441:311. Futures closed 1766.5 (7.5pts discount).

3) DBT: MAYBANK 12.25mil @ RM10.35, PICORP 6.297mil @ RM0.13 (0.957% PUC @ 15% discount), TEOSENG 5.317mil @ RM0.65 (2.65% PUC @ 12% premium)
 
4) Situational:-
HUAYANG +6.47% RM3.29: Group has acquired a piece of land in Seri Kembangan to build residential apartments and retail shops with an estimated total gross development value (GDV) of RM285 million. The 1.509 hectare land was bought through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Prop Park Sdn Bhd, for RM56.91 million cash, said the company in a statement today. Hua Yang Chief Executive Officer Ho Wen Yan said the acquisition was in line with the group’s objective to expand its existing land bank of 292.588 hectares, worth RM3.9 billion in GDV.

Ytd net profit fell 4.8% mainly due to higher operating expenses. Group booked a RM8.8mil gain on disposal of certain quoted investments in the 1Q. Berjaya Philippines Inc registered an increase in revenue of 6.6% mainly attributed to improved sales registered by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office in the current year under review.
 
Sports Toto, recorded an increase in revenue and pre-tax profit of 0.3% and 1.8% respectively as compared to the previous year ended 30 April 2012. The increase in pre-tax profit was mainly attributed to lower prize payout in the current year under review.
 
QoQ, revenue grew 4.8% but recorded a decrease in pre-tax profit of 11.1% mainly due to the current quarter having benefited from the traditionally higher sales during the ChineseLunar New Year festival. PBT fell mainly due to higher prize payout in the current quarter under review. -HOLD
 
 
6) Market: Trading volume likely to slow further  with narrower trading range as investors stayed sideline while they await guidance on QE programs which is expected to be released in the FOMC statements on Wed US time. Stocks at buy levels are Dayang, Naim, Genting, Gadang, MahSing, Matrix, SPSetia, UemLand.
