– Continue to see improvement in numbers as evident from the 2Q 2014 profit
of RM2.4m under new management that joined in 2011. Growth was mainly driven
by the increased number of beds to currently 140 beds plus 20 day beds.
Coupled with the increased number of specialist, the bed-revenue or non-IVF
business has grown significantly, making-up 80% of contributions from
previous 40%. The Tropicana Medical Center at Kota Damasara sits on a 6ac
land. However, the medical center only takes up 2acs while the rest are used
as temporary car park spaces and gardens i.e. heavily underutilized. Notably,
the site is extremely strategic being near residential areas while an MRT
station is being built in front of the site. Trading at prospective PE of 30x
with further growth expected from increased specialist services offered and a
build-up of occupancy from 60% to around 80%, we recommend to accumulate
around these levels with an upside target of 45sen.

AMBANK
– Management has recently indicated that they plan to drive earnings via the
non interest income segment. Latest set of numbers saw a significant
improvement largely attributable to the insurance division after the
integration of Kurnia and MBF Cards. The group also houses one of the leading
investment banks in the country. Their lack of regional ambition has help
insulate the bank from the current down turn experienced regionally.
Technical indicators cutting upwards after recent consolidation around the
RM7.00 levels, trading buy with a target of RM8.05.
