1) The KLCI traded sideways before closing in the red today inline with the weaker US market overnight as concerns over corporate earnings weighed on sentiments. In the regional market, bourses were mixed as the HSI -1.62% fell on profit taking, HSCEI -2.23% while the SHCOMP +0.34% and STI+0.89% closed higher. In the local scene, TECHNOLOGY  +1.02% gained the most grounds boosted by export names, INARI +1.44%, UNISEM +2.18%, MPI +1.77%, GTRONIC +1.23% while the FINANCE -0.46% index lost grounds weighed by heavyweights MAYBANK -0.74%, RHBCAP -2.92%, PBBANK -0.21%. Market breadth was negative with losers outpacing gainers by 459 : 359. Futures closed at 1839.5 (parity).
 
2) Heavyweights : IHH -3.27% RM5.62, MAYBANK -0.74% RM9.38, RHBCAP -2.92% RM7.96, GENM -1.08% RM4.56, PBBANK -0.21% RM18.98, DIGI +1.44% RM6.30, AXIATA +0.71% RM7.02, TM +1.35% RM7.50.
 
3) DBT: ACOSTEC 7.929mil @ RM0.62 (4.45% PUC), THHEAVY 5.7mil @ RM0.335, SIGN 3.5mil @ RM2.23 (2.91% PUC), SNTORIA 2mil @ RM1.00, TITIJYA 2mil @ RM1.88.
 
4) Situational:-
BIOHLDG+35.00% RM0.27 - Bioalpha Holdings Bhd, which officially commenced trading on the Ace market today saw 133mil share exchange hands in the market today. Issued at RM0.20 per share, the share price rose to a high of RM0.33 before closing at 0.27sen. Via the IPO, the company raised RM20 million to be used for research and development  expenditure, capex, repayment of bank borrowings, as well as working capital to finance business expansion and enhance growth strategies. The company has set aside capex of RM3 million to set up a herb-processing plant in Pasir Raja, Terengganu.
 
5) Boustead
Bousted (BHB) BHB has on 14 April 2015 subscribed for 2 subscriptions of Irat shares resulting in aggregate 93,333,333 Irat Shares representing 50.00% PUC in Irat. The total cash consideration for the First Subscription and Second Subscription amounts to RM198.80 million. The remaining 50.00% of the issued and paid-up
ordinary share capital in Irat are held by the existing shareholders, namely LTAT and Irat Holdings
Sdn Bhd.
The Irat Group is principally involved in property investment through the letting out of office space and a hotel.   The Irat Group is also involved in the operation of the AES project following the completion of the
ATES Acquisition.
The earnings visibility of the AES project remains unclear and thus time will only tell the viability of this project.
 
6) Market: Current mid cap focus to continue with KLCI entering a consolidation phase.
