HLI (RM4.53) – stk has retraced 10% since
peaking at RM5 and has been trading in a tight 20c range despite recent
commissioning of its 2m MT capacity cement plant. Its recent expansion in the
building materials sector is timely in anticipation of further Govt pump
priming for domestic infrastructure. Co is in midst of transforming itself
into a significant building materials player with earnings expected to
surpass its automotive segment. Implementation of minimum wage wef 1/1/13
will also augur well for its Yamaha motorcycles segment. Techincally
attractive as MACD is oversold and has flattened out, RSI 37. Stk is at
compelling PER 11x, div yield 5%-Accumulate.

– stk is back into consolidation mode after spiking to RM5.20 at year end,
maintaining its position as the cheapest conglomerate on Bursa with
attractive PER’13 11x, div yield 6.9%, P:B 1.1x. Immediate catalyst will be
from highly attractive pharmaceuticals segment (pharmaniaga) and also its
property development division for the Jln Cochrane project and possible JV
with LTAT on the Batu Cantonment army camp in Jln Ipoh. Expect recovery from
BHIC and improving results from AFfin to tide over weaker plantation
numbers. MACD is already oversold with
RSI at 47-Accumulate. (LJN)
