Share price has fallen c28% from its IPO
price, which we think was due to the overall negative market sentiment. We
see this as a buying opportunity as we continue to like it based on its
stable IPP business model. From the 1HFY15 results, we believe group in on
track to achieve street’s full year expectations. Meanwhile, management has
also reiterated that it is not interested in bidding for Edra Global Energy
Bhd’s brownfield power assets (total effective capacity of 5,594MW). At
current price, Malakoff is trading at an attractive 11.7x FY16F EPS and
dividend yield of c5% for FY15 & 16; Trading Buy ( TP RM 1.66 based on
15x FY16 )

TRIM
|

|

Share price has been resilient, partly on the
back of investors positioning to capitalize on the recovery in consumer spending
in Malaysia & the attractive dividend yield of 7%. We see this an
opportunity to trim, given the current market sentiment. Operating costs are
expected to stay at escalated levels due to the gestation phase of new stores
opening this year (6 Padini Concept Store & 6 Brands Outlet). GST
implementation is expected to dampen consumer sentiment and curtail
discretionary spending for the next 2-3 quarters. Co is also operating in an
increasingly competitive industry landscape. Trading at 9.2x FY06/16, Trim (buyback
at RM1.14, on 8x FY16)
