1) The KLCI erased earlier losses to close in positive territory inline with the stronger region led by Chinese stocks after government hinted of more efforts to support its market. Regions were mostly higher led by HSI +3.28%, SHCOMP +2.92% boosted by banking and brokerage names, HSCEI +4.13%, ASX +1.69%, STI +1.21% while the NIKKEI slumped 2.43%. FINANCE +0.93% index gained the most grounds today helped by MAYBANK +2.38%, PBBANK +0.45%, HLFG +1.01%, AMBANK +0.93% while penny names gained on renewed interests, namely MIECO +13.26%, AIRASIA +7.56%, YONGTAI +7.14%, HOMERIZ +6.87%. Market breadth was positive as gainers led losers by 547 : 243. Futures closed at 1582pts (5pts discount).
 
 2) Heavyweights : MAYBANK +2.38% RM8.58, PBBANK +0.45% RM17.86, DIGI +0.97% RM5.18, BAT +2.06% RM61.26, YTL +1.92% RM1.59, SKPETRO +2.35% RM1.74, SIME -2.30% RM7.20, GENTING -1.85% RM6.88.

TMS +3.57% RM0.145 - The Media Shoppe Bhd's unit, Exonion Sdn Bhd has entered into a managing contract agreement with Total Merit Sdn Bhd for RM192.0m to develop a 12.1407-hectare land in Kemaman, Terengganu. As the managing contractor, the company will be providing professional project management facilities for the development of the land into a mixed development project, it said. The project involves the construction of 43 units of two-storey shop lots or offices, five blocks of twelve-storey apartments, one block of eleven-storey affordable apartment and amenities.
 
5) GEORGE KENT
Company has received a Letter of Award from Water Supplies Department , Hong Kong for the supply and delivery of 600,000 units of water meters, The water meters to be supplied to WSD, over the next two years are the DN15 Brass PSM-Ts, and worth a total sum of US$7.17 million. This securing of the contract gives the Group a timely boost as it further consolidates its position as one of the major water meter suppliers in the region and beyond, with current market reach surpassing 40 countries. The meters will be delivered in 24 batches with the first shipment to commence in October 2015.
