1. The KLCI traded in a tight 8pts band closing +8pts higher following the stronger US overnight boosted by energy stocks amid higher oil prices. Regions were higher led by SHCOMP +4.31% as shares were lifted by speculation that Chinese authorities will open a trading link between 2 cities by year end, HSI +2.15%, HSCEI +2.70%, NIKKEI +1.30%, STI +1.35%. TECHNOLOGY +0.73% index continue to outperform for a 2nd day after global semiconductor sales improved according to SIA, GTRONIC +2.88%, JCY +1.87%, UNISEM +0.85% gained; PLANTATION +0.63% index advanced as CPO prices rebounded, gainers were led by KLK +1.14%, FGV +2.73%, IOICORP +0.46%. Market breadth was positive today with gainers outpacing losers by 558 : 333. Market Futures closed at 1689.5 (4pts premium)

4) Situational:-
ASUPREM +4.0% RM0.13 - Astral Supreme Bhd has received a RM80.5m subcontract job to undertake the main building works under the People’s HousingProgramme in Kota Belud, Sabah. The electronic product maker, which has begun diversifying into construction, told Bursa Malaysia that its unit Astral Supreme Construction Sdn Bhd had received the letter of award (LOA) for the job from Kuasa  
 
5) SAPKENCANA
 
The company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, SapuraKencana Energy Inc has secured a Field Development Plan  approval from PETRONAS for the SK310 B15 gas field development project. With this approval, SKE will commence the development phase for this Project and the first gas delivery is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2017.
 
The B15 field which was discovered in December 2010 is located within the SK310 Production Sharing Contract  area, offshore East Malaysia. The development will comprise a central processing platform with a 35-km gas evacuation pipeline to be tied into the existing infrastructure. The B15 field is expected to produce 100 MMscfd (million standard cubic feet per day) of hydrocarbon gas for PETRONAS’ LNG complex in Bintulu, Sarawak.
 
SKE via SapuraKencana Energy Sarawak Inc. is the Operator of the SK310 PSC with a 30% participating  interest and partners with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. at 40% and Diamond Energy Sarawak Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation at 30%.
