1) The KLCI continued to slip for a 2nd session closing at its day low following the weaker US market overnight that fell amid deepening concerns over slowing global growth. Regional bourses were mostly negative as the weaker European Data overnight weighed sentiments further, NIKKEI -1.19%, HSI -0.68%, HSCEI -0.70%, ASX -0.81% fell while the SHCOMP +0.80% bucked the trend closing at its 19 month high on property measures by the govt. Locally, 2nd liners and small cap stocks continued lower wiyh names such as INARI -3.61%, KOSSAN-7.82%, MYEG -5.72%, MUH  -9.04%, TAMBUN -6.32% losing the most grounds. Market breadth was distinctively negative as losers beat gainers by 935 : 93. Futures closed at 1820.5(3.5pts discount). 

 

2) Heavyweights : IOICORP-1.86% RM4.75, SKPETRO -2.07% RM3.78, IHH -2.21% RM4.86, PBBANK -0.42% RM48.68, KLK -1.72% RM20.54, TENAGA -0.47% RM12.52, AXIATA -0.42% RM7.03, FGV -2.28% RM3.42.

 

3) DBT : NIHSIN 14.49mil @ RM0.34 (6.12% PUC @ 11.7% discount), MEDAINC 1.15mil @ RM0.6104, GLOTEC 1.1mil @ RM0.105 (40% premium).

 

4) Situational:-

CENSOF -0.83% RM0.595 - Censof Holdings Bhd is looking to target small and medium enterprises (SMEs) via its partnership with Asian Business Software Solutions Sdn Bhd (ABSS). Censof deputy group managing director Tamil Selvanantham Durairaj said the partnership, which will provide Goods and Services Tax (GST) accounting software for SMEs, will already be contributing positively to Censof's current financial year ending March 31, 2015. Censof has partnered with ABSS to leverage on the introduction of GST. Censof said the joint venture (JV) was made via its unit Century Software (M) Sdn Bhd (CSM), where CSM will hold a 50.02% and ABSS 49.98%. Censof said the tie-up was aimed to drive a strong growth of sales of MYOB brand Accounting Software products and to carry out such other business incidental to the general purpose set forth in the JV agreement

 

5) CLIQ

CLIQ Energy Berhad clarified that the Company is currently in negotiations with various parties in relation to the potential qualifying acquisition asset.  There are a number of issues being negotiated with these parties, one of which is the operatorship issue.

 

6)SEACERA

Announce that submission to prequalify to bid for the Proposed Warisan Merdeka Project made by the Parties is successful and the Parties are invited to participate in the tendering process to construct the tower structure comprising of reinforced raft foundation, concrete core walls and mega columns, inclusive of multi story basement car park and also responsible for management of nominated subcontractors for the Proposed Warisan Merdeka Project located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

7)Market - The sharp sell off particularly in the midcap space experienced this week should see bargain hunters emerge ahead of Budget 2015. However the overall sentiment remains bearish and we expect this to continue heading into 3Q reporting season. Failure to meet expectations in this upcoming qtr reporting could be the catalyst to send the market lower towards the 1800pts levels.
