1) The KLCI closed above at auction period boosted by MAXIS +1.85%, TENAGA +0.85%, PETGAS +1.17% after trading in in the red thru out the session today. Global sentiments were dampen after talks between Greece and its creditors broke down overnight. In the regional market, bourses were mixed as the SHCOMP +0.76% outperformed helped by property names after data showed that housing prices in the country were stabilizing, ASX-0.52%, STI -0.33% and NIKKEI -0.10% however closed lower. In the local scene, penny names continue to provide market liquidity today as WINTONI +16.66%, PERISAI -5.79%, ASIABIO -3.84%, RA -10.00%, SYSTECH +11.11% tops the list of the most active. Market breadth was slightly negative with losers inching gainers by 381 : 349. Futures closed at 1803.5 (6.5pts discount).

 

 2) Heavyweights : TENAGA +0.85% RM14.14, MAXIS +1.85% RM7.15, PETGAS +1.17% RM22.38, PETDAG +2.31% RM18.60, KLK -1.49% RM22.44, AXIATA -0.56% RM7.03, MISC -1.03% RM7.69, BAT -1.13% RM69.80.


3) DBT: INSTACO 15mil @ RM0.145 (1.48% PUC), SKPRES 10mil @ RM0.82 (1.11% PUC @ 5.1% premium), RAYA 5.196mil @ RM0.198 (3.985% PUC).

 

4) Situational:-

PERISAI  -5.79% RM0.65 – After being queried by Bursa, Perisai Petroleum responded by saying that is not aware of any corporate development that could have contributed to the unusual market activity (UMA) of its shares. There is no unannounced corporate development relating to the Perisai group’s business and affairs which requires public disclosure; and is unaware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the Perisai group or any possible explanation that may account for the trading activity of Perisai, said the group.

 

KNM-2% RM0.705 - the issue price for the Rights Issue with Warrants has been fixed at RM0.50 per Rights Share at an entitlement basis of 1 Rights Share for every 5 existing KNM Shares held by the Entitled Shareholders as at an entitlement date to be determined and announced later. The entitlement basis of the Warrants B has been fixed at 1 Warrant B for every 2 Rights Shares subscribed with the exercise price of the Warrants B fixed at RM1.00 for each Warrant B.

 

 

5) TRC

The Company is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Trans Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd 2015 executed a Contract Agreement with DCNS Societe Anonyme in relation to Design and Build Contract for the Proposed Malaysian Scorpene Refit Infrastructure Works at The Royal Malaysian Navy Submarine Base at Sapangar Bay, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah for a contract sum of RM60m. +ve

 

 

6) Market – Thin trading volume to persist ahead of holiday shorten week with full trading days resuming only on the 23 Feb.
