1)The KLCI continued its winning streak following the stronger U.S market after the dovish statement by the Fed's indicated a slower pace of rate hikes. In the regional market, bourses were mostly higher after optimism from the west boosted ASX +1.86%, and HSI +1.45%, SHCOMP +0.14% while NIKKEI-0.35% fell after Yen strengthened against the Greenback. INDUSTRIAL products +1.30% outperformed amongst the sectors led by PCHEM +2.36%, PETGAS +1.31%, LAFMSIA +1.79%, KOSSAN +3.83%. Market breadth was positive with gainers beating losers by 476 : 336. Futures closed at 1810.5pts (1pts premium).

 

2) Heavyweights : CIMB +2.19% RM6.05, PBBANK +0.75% RM18.64, PCHEM +2.36% RM5.20, MAYBANK +0.76% RM9.23, DIGI +1.27% RM6.34, KLK +2.43% RM22.70, PETGAS +1.31% RM23.12, IHH -1.72% RM5.70.

 

3) DBT:  YTLPOWR 10mil @ RM1.54, MQTECH 5mil @ RM0.13 (1.91% PUC), WELLCAL 5mil @ RM2.00 (1.50% PUC).

 

4) Situational:-

INTEGRAX -0.31% RM3.17 - Integrax Bhd’s co-founder, Amin Halim Rasip has offered to buy a 5.0% equity stake in the company for RM3.50 a share from Perak Corp Bhd's (PCB) unit Taipan Merit Sdn Bhd. The offer price which is higher than Tenaga Nasional Bhd’s (TNB) revised offer of RM3.25, would involve 15.0m shares worth RM52.6m. He has also recommended the company’s shareholders to reject TNB's offer at the upcoming extraordinary general meeting to be convened.

 

5) DRBHcm

CTRM a subs of DBHcm and UTC Aerospace exchanged LOIs for the extension of CTRM supply of 3 existing work packages. The current contract awarded in 2003, is approximately RM4.2bn and is anticipated the tenure of the contract will be extended up to a further 7 yrs with an average annual value of RM350m.  +ve

 

 

6) Market: The dovish stance signalled by the Feds could prolong the current liquidity rally but foreign investors are likely to continue to stay side lined in regards to Msia with rating agencies now putting the country on credit watch. Maintain current range btw 1780-1830pts on the KLCI
