The
latest RM14.6m contract wins from JGC (M) & Petron Malaysia has brought
outstanding OB to cRM100m. Tender book stands at more than RM500m. In view of
the impending Sarawak state elections, more rural developments projects are
expected to be announced. KKB should benefit, particularly in the supply of
steel pipes for water projects. It can also count on support from 20% major
shareholder CMSB (a proxy for development in the state) & it’s good
network and ties with the local Sarawak Government to benefit from projects
like the Phase 2 Samalaju Industrial Park & the RM27b Pan Borneo Highway.

The
share price has jumped c30% over the past 2 weeks, on expectations of
stronger earnings behind higher margins, leaner management & better
operational efficiency as it nears the completion of its 3-year right sizing
strategy. Other push factors include the strong B/S & likely resumption
of its dividend policy which has been suspended since 2010. However, we
reckon positives are reflected, as group is now trading at 16x FY16 (vs small
cap fwd of 10.5x). It also has neutral impact from weakening MYR and no solid
new order post restructuring to show as yet – Trim (Buy-back at RM0.50).
