BIMB is Malaysia’s only
Shariah-compliant investable and recent price run up on the back of renewed
talk of merger btw the smaller Islamic financial instns. Consumer loans make up slightly
more than 60% of BIMB’s total loan portfolio. Topline growth is expected to
be dragged by thinning NIM and softer loan growth. Current price/bk 1.95x
fully reflecting the value of the bank with unexciting fundamentals in the
medium term, warranting a trim at these levels.

1Q numbers were weaker on lower
top line numbers, however PBT grew by
5% YoY driven by higher gains from favourable forex translations and reversal
of slow moving inventories provision. Following the 18% YTD surge in its
share prices, PIE is currently trading at a forward FY15E PER of 13.2x which
is 30% above the industry average valuation (electronic manufacturing
services industry). RSI over extended to 80 and MACD wide divergence will
cutting down sign imminent. We
recommend a sell with buy back around 6.00 as news flow for next year will be
the start of production for large commercial touched-screen panels using
surface attenuation wave technology in the third quarter of this year. The
touch-screen panels, which will be shipped to the Unite States, is expected
to be significant revenue and bottom line contributors in 2016
