CPO px broke below double top neckline 2070
the last 2 days, targeting downside of 1778-1740. Dorab Mistry recently
forecasted CPO px at 1900 on exp
jump in inventories as pdtn increase seasonally towards
its annual peak in Sept/Oct. Substitutes like soybean oil is also
languishing @ USD30.47/lb (dwn 17% yoy). The devaluation of CNY
implies a softer economy than earlier exp, which is bearish
for commodities. KLK, trading at premium valuations (forward PER of 24.5x vs
5-yr average of 18,4x), is particularly vulnerable in the next 2-3 reporting
seasons. Reduce exposure

forming a dead cross, coupled with lower CPO prices ahead, sugar prices -43%
yoy & seasonally lower 1H15 profit as already seen in Wilmar’s 1H15
results announced last week, we advocate to trim at current levels or switch
to Wilmar which contributes the bulk of PPB earnings & trade at cheaper
valuations (PPB forward PER & P/B 18.3x & 1.03x vs Wilmar’s 11.1x
& 0.85x).
