1) The KLCI closed 1.11% higher following a series of window dressing activity at auction time shrugging off the mixed US market overnight. Region bourses were mostly stronger led by the NIKKEI +2.70% which regained some of yesterday's losses, ASX +2.10%, HSI +1.41%, SHCOMP +0.49%, HSCEI +1.90%. PLANTATION +2.44% index gained the most grounds today boosted by CI heavyweights IOICORP +4.09%, KLK +1.59%, FGV +4.89% while the TECHNOLOGY +1.53% index followed closely behind as INARI +3.35%, UNISEM +4.10%, GTRONIC +0.80% rose. Market breadth was positive with gainers doubling losers by 573 : 277. Market futures closed at 1620pts (1 pt discount).
 
 2) Heavyweights : SIME +4.00% RM7.79, MAYBANK +2.02% RM8.56, IOICORP +4.09% RM4.07, GENTING +2.82% RM7.27, MISC +3.40% RM8.80, AXIATA +1.57% RM5.80, PBBANK +0.57% RM17.52, GENM +2.46% RM4.15.
 
3) DBT: SUPERLN 1.8mil @ RM1.28 (2.25% PUC @ 20% discount), GESHEN 1.5mil @ RM0.90  
 
4) Situational:-
IBHD +1.94% RM0.525 - signed a management agreement with Hilton Worldwide Manage Ltd, appointing it as the manager of the proposed hotel, Doubletree by Hilton Shah Alam. I-Berhad said the 300-room hotel project was expected to be completed by Dec 1, 2021 with an investment cost of RM250.0m to be funded mainly from internally-generated funds.
 
PRTASCO +2.45% RM1.67 - Protasco Bhd has bagged a RM44mil contract from the Asian Football Confederation to build a four-storey office in Bukit Jalil.  It said on Wednesday its unit HCM Engineering Sdn Bhd had received the letter of acceptance from AFC to undertake the project. The contract with a value of approximately RM44mil is to be completed in 18 months by March 2017 and is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings of the Protasco Group.
 
5) EDGENTA
The company announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Konsortium Jaya Sdn Bhd ("KJSB") has accepted a Letter of Award from the Ministry of Finance for the development of the "Sistem Perakaunan Akruan Kerajaan Negeri" ("1SPEKS") ("Project") for Jabatan Akauntan Negara.
The value of the project awarded is RM92m over a duration of twenty nine (29) months commencing from 1 September 2015 until 31 January 2018. +ve
 
6) Market - The relief rally today could be short lived as it is largely attributable to qtrly closing action on selected big caps. Uncertainty over US int rates and declining global growth will cont to weight down sentiment and Oct is not likely to show any changes to the current trend.
