1) The late closing action helped the KLCI push above the
1660pts resistance today +15pts (+0.91%) on bluechip buying inline with the
stronger US market which surged 2% overnight. Regions were mostly higher today
led by STI +1.55%, NIKKEI +1.00%, ASX +0.33%; HSI -0.10% closed flat while the
SHCOMP remained closed. TECHNOLOGY index +1.30% gained the most grounds today
with gainers amongst MPI +3.11%, VITROX +5.55%, JCY +2.19%, UNISEM +1.38%.
Market breadth was positive as gainers beat losers once again by 495 : 363.
Market futures closed at 1651pts (11pts discount).

4) Situational:-
YTLPOWR unch RM1.52 - Tenaga Nasional Bhd has stopped buying electricity from YTL Power
International Bhd following the expiry of a power purchase agreement (PPA)
between the two companies. With the expiry, YTL no longer exports power to the
grid effective Oct 1, 2015, TNB said. It is unclear how the latest development
would impact YTL Power. The company had previously said it was in discussions
with the Energy Commission for an extension of the PPA.
5) OPCOM
Opcom announced that its subsidiary, Opcom Cables Sdn Bhd
has negotiated and accepted a RM67.8 million Letter of Award from Telekom
Malaysia Berhad for the provision of
Supply, Delivery, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Line Plant Network
Project including associated Civil Works in Malaysia via Schedule of Rates for Telekom for a period of three years commencing from 1 October 2015 to 30
September 2018 .
6) Market - With the KLCI at technically toppish levels
and no clear positive developments to drive it higher we expect a pull back
towards the 1630pts levels.
