1) The KLCI swung between a 9 pts trading band before closing lower (-2pts) despite the stronger US market overnight ahead of the May jobs report due this Friday. In the regional scene, bourses were mixed as the ASX led in losses -1.73%, STI fell -1.51%, HSI -0.47% while the SHCOMP gained +1.69%. In the local scene, TECHNOLOGY one of the biggest winners from strong USD +1.24% index gained the most ground boosted by GTRONIC +4.69%, VITROX +3.83%, MPI +1.28%. Market breadth was positive as gainers outpaced losers by 571 : 262.  Futures closed at 1722.5 (18pts discount).

4) Situational:-
EWEIN +4.30% RM0.97 - Precision sheet metal fabricator Ewein Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Ewein Land Sdn Bhd has received the nod from its board of directors to incorporate a new 60.0%-owned subsidiary in Malaysia, Ewein Zenith II Sdn Bhd. Ewein said an application was made to the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM) on June 1. The intended principal activities of Ewein Zenith II will be property development, construction and property investment.
 
5) MEGA FIRST
Mega First via wholly owned sub RCI, entered into a conditional Share Subscription Agreement with MJSB and two unrelated third parties to subscribe for 51.22% equity interest in the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of MJSB for the cash consideration of RM12.69m . 
Concurrent with the execution of the Subscription Agreement, RCI has entered into a Call and Put Option Agreement for RCI to acquire from the Individuals the remaining 48.78% equity interest in the enlarged issued and paid-up share capital of MJSB at the price of RM63.45 per share or an aggregate cash consideration of RM12.69m at any time the Call Option Period (which is the period within 21 days after 1 June 2018) or within the Put Option Period (which is the period within 21 days after the Call Option Period), respectively.
MJSB only major asset is a piece of land measuring approximately 34.398 hectares in Mukim Teja, District of Kampar, State of Perak with a leasehold period expiring on 6 May 2073.
 
6) Market - Bargain hunting activity today indicates that the KLSE may have found a short term bottom with wider participation in the broader market as gainers led 2:1. KLCI rebound however will be restricted to 1780/1800pts until further positive leads emerge.
