MarFYE15 earnings trailed consensus with net
profit falling 6% yoy. Its Weekly MACD has turned down with share price at
critical RM4.51 level and appears to have broken its long term ascending
channel. Should it break this level it could retest RM4.11 level. Earnings
for MarFY16 are expected to remain weak as company plans to take a more cautious
approach in growing its loan portfolio. NIM compression remains a concern for
the banking sector. Given the surprise cut in dividend, dividend yield is no
longer attractive at 3.3%. Trim with TP: RM4.00

MarFY15 earnings would have trailed consensus
had we exclude one of disposal gains. Core net profit was 4% lower despite a
RM30.5m net writeback in loan loss provisioning w loan loss coverage falling
to 105%. Loans growth declined 2% as it realign its loan portfolio. However
auto financing remains its biggest exposure at 26%. Cooling property market
and tightening of consumer spending will expedite the competition for loans
putting pressure on Ambank NIM. Possible downgrade on country rating could
also weigh on the banking sector. Trim w TP: RM5.70
