Is the best proxy to Sarawak's promotion
of energy intensive industries under the SCORE initiatives and the expected
accelerated spending on infrastructure (e.g. the RM26b Pan Borneo
Expressway) & road maintenance jobs ahead of the state elections.
CMSB has a tight grip on Sarawak's cement market & is also a key player
in construction materials, construction & road maintenance. In quarters
ahead, CMSB's earning base will be enhanced by its SCORE-related
investments - 25% stake in a power-intensive ferro silicon & manganese
venture and 40% stake in an integrated phosphate products project. The
current weakness towards its RM5.00 support level is an opportunity to

Stock has retraced 13% from a recent
high of RM2.38 to a low of RM2.06 in less than 2 weeks
& has found strong support at current prices which is a
previous resistance-turned-support of a
4-month triangle pattern - a good entry level. Weekly macd is still
positive, confirming a continuation of its uptrend. The steady global
MDF demand, better product mix, synergistic cost savings derived from
restructuring of certain facilities & cost control measures plus the
strong USD will continue to buffer earnings delivery & re-ratings.
Trading at FY16 PER of 9.6x & p/bk of 1.1x, Buy. (TP: RM2.50)
