Price
has pulled back after the surge in Sept triggered by the Govt ann of injection
of fresh funds into ValueCap which sent Sime to a high of RM9.10. Sime is the
largest holding under ValueCap’s ETF, representing 12.3% of the fund.
Weakness in the px is also attributable to a possible cash call with
debt/equity ratio rising to 58% after its acq of NBPOL however it should be
noted that despite challenging conditions. Operating cash flow remains strong
+7% YOY to RM3.8bn as at June 2015. The company is set to be a main
beneficiary on any recovery in CPO pxs as they are the largest plantation
company in terms of planted area. RSI down to 39 and MACD showing signs of a
possible cut up, we rate it a buy with an immediate target of RM9.00

Another
GLC related company that enjoyed a price spike to RM1.24 when the govt its
support fund but has since given most of its gains back. Technical indicators
in the form of its RSI 42 and MACD have been flattish for the past one and a
half month indicating consolidation. The lack of order book renewal should
start to see some progress towards year end and most of 2016 with RM1.6bn
expected from RAPID. Furthermore VOs incurred in 2014/15 that have been
written off should see significant write backs in 2016 numbers. Accumulate on
expected recovery from trough valuation of 0.6x p/bk to RM1.42 or 0.8x p/bk.
